This is the only portrait that I took of someone from a side angle. It's one of favorites because this man is surrounded by thousands of people, and yet he feels incredibly isolated in the photograph. In an environment engulfed by energy, we get a glimpse into his own silent world.
I loved how this guy looked like he absolutely did not give a $%@!. I picked out this image because I feel like it captures that vibe. He's puffing on a cigar in a no-tobacco zone, and he's holding a cup calling for the firing of U of I's President while attending a U of I football game.
Honestly, I just wanted to let the class know that I found of one Bob Marley's sons. In all seriousness though, this portrait puts a grin on my face every time. He's either really high, really happy, or both. Regardless of whichever it is, that smile is infectious.
